Changes are a continuous process of system and software improvement.
Improving IT systems, especially in the dynamically developing e-commerce business, is a continuous and inevitable process. In January, we introduced the beta version of our new platform, and from February, we started full operational activity, switching from Manager 2.0 to Manager 3.0. Each such change is another step towards scaling and optimizing our operations, but it comes with inevitable challenges. The emergence of errors, whether in code or various solutions burdening the system as the database and product base grow, is a natural part of this process. Therefore, the ability of our IT team to quickly respond to problems, improve, and adapt systems to the current needs of the company becomes crucial.
Here, the experience of our team, whose specialty is not only security—critical especially in an industry where, similar to game development, systems must be constantly protected against attacks—is significant. Thanks to advanced technology, which we also adapt in our other applications, such as Aderlo or the Safe Shopping Zone, we can not only fix current problems but also proactively secure and develop our solutions.
ElasticSearch, a fast real-time search engine.
One of the key areas of work currently being implemented within our project is the implementation of Elasticsearch, an innovative technology that significantly improves the process of searching data in large product databases. Elasticsearch is an advanced search engine that allows for instant information searching, which is crucial considering that we already operate on a database containing 750,000 products in the Polish market alone, and this number will grow to millions as we expand our operations to other markets.
Thanks to Elasticsearch, our e-commerce platform can quickly and precisely manage unique product identifiers (SKUs), which sets us apart from typical marketplaces where the same product often appears as multiple duplicates. In our system, each SKU is unique, and different operators can join in selling the same product without creating clutter and unnecessary price competition. This ensures clarity, order, and allows operators to focus on creating unique product offers, benefiting both sellers and end customers.
Additionally, the improvement of the Elasticsearch search mechanism, which we started with the beta version in January and fully implemented in February, has significantly enhanced the quality and speed of product searches. This translates to better user experiences and increases the trading volume of our platform. With full access to our database, we can also offer this technology to online stores based on various platforms, such as WordPress or PrestaShop, which provides great added value for our business partners and customers.
A new version of the product management catalog in Manager 3.0 will be launched.
Revolutionary changes in the product management catalog in Manager 3.0 will introduce a new dimension of efficiency and personalization in e-commerce. As announced in articles on the ECAT website, a major update is coming, revolutionizing how operators can manage their products. This change includes the introduction of advanced AI technologies, which will be made available to operators, increasing their ability to customize and optimize their product offerings.
The new content management system, known as PIM (Product Information Management), will allow for a much more individualized approach to managing product content. Operators will be able not only to edit titles, descriptions, and product photos but also to arrange products in the catalog according to their preferences and business strategies. This solution will provide greater control and flexibility in presenting the offer, which is crucial for standing out in the market.
Additionally, it is planned to introduce the ability to create product bundles, enabling operators to combine products into sets with specific added value, responding to specific customer needs and preferences. This functionality will not only make the offer more attractive but also allow for better margin and promotion management.
These changes represent a significant step forward in adaptation and innovation within the Manager 3.0 platform, strengthening its position as an advanced tool supporting e-commerce development through technology and offer personalization. The implementation of these changes will take place in two stages, allowing users to gradually adapt to new features and make the most of their potential in their operations.
The affiliate program will soon be available.
During this live session, CEO Grzegorz Ciupek discussed in detail the issues related to the ECAT eCommerce platform’s affiliate program, which will soon be available. The discussion covered how participants can effectively use the affiliate system to increase their profits, as well as potential pitfalls that may be associated with some affiliate projects.
The first important point was to highlight some affiliate models that encourage mass user registration without actually generating sales, leading to disappointment and inefficiency. Instead, ECAT eCommerce promotes a model that requires active participation and potential investments, resulting in greater engagement and real profits.
In particular, the affiliate program model for users with the Multi store Pro extension in Manager 3.0, which allows for multi-level earning within the affiliate program, was discussed. Participants who purchase this subscription will receive 60% of the subscription value transferred to the affiliate program, of which 25% goes to the partner who invited the new participant. Additionally, a tool package is being prepared for those who are business-wise involved in the affiliate program. This package, worth $1200, includes a professional online store and other tools supporting sales.
The role of ECAT tokens, which are a key element in the affiliate ecosystem, was also emphasized. 50% of the package value is allocated to the purchase of these tokens, which then translates to 25% payouts in the affiliate program. Moreover, 10% of the value of each transaction carried out by program participants is returned as cashback, increasing the attractiveness of investing in the program.
Grzegorz’s speech focused on the benefits of participating in a well-organized and managed affiliate program, offering solid support and real financial benefits for active participants. Such solutions aim to build lasting value and growth for both individual operators and the entire ECAT eCommerce ecosystem.
