In recent times, there have been many questions in our community about the implementation of the Aderlo Marketplace. The most frequently asked question is: “Are you already selling on Aderlo Marketplace?” Upon entering the platform and browsing the Marketplace, users noticed the lack of categories and products, which raised doubts and questions about the current status of the project.
In his video, Grzegorz Ciupek explains that the company is working intensively on its own marketplace engine – the ECAT eCommerce Aderlo Marketplace Engine. This is a crucial step in the company’s development aimed at overcoming the limitations encountered when using the Magento platform. While Magento is a powerful e-commerce tool, its ability to handle large product databases proved insufficient, leading to performance and product synchronization issues.
The decision to create our own engine stems from the need to ensure real-time product synchronization and better handling of large databases. Modern technologies, such as GoLand, allow for more efficient platform management and better adaptation to user needs. Consequently, the company plans to launch other marketplaces like Wiejski Targ Marketplace soon after the Aderlo Marketplace goes live, which will operate smoothly and without delays, offering operators new opportunities for sales and product management.
Is Aderlo marketplace selling?
There have been many questions in our group about the implementation of the Aderlo Marketplace. The first question is: – Are you already selling on Aderlo Marketplace? When I go into individual categories, I do not see products, which raises doubts.
Grzegorz Ciupek informs in the video above. As I mentioned in the last business newsletter, we are working intensively on our own marketplace engine, the ECAT eCommerce Aderlo Marketplace Engine, which is a huge step in our company’s development.
Magento is an excellent sales platform, but not for large product databases.
Magento is a brilliant platform that enables many activities related to plugin integration and sales based on the ECAT eCommerce platform. It is an ideal solution for people who want to set up online stores on Magento.
However, it turned out that Magento itself is unable to handle the massive product databases we expected. We put a lot of work into making the entire marketplace with an extensive product base available, but even with 50 thousand, let alone 100 thousand products, the Magento platform encounters serious performance issues.
Product synchronization on Magento occurs with a delay.
Our assumption is for one-to-one synchronization to work 100%, meaning that all products from various wholesalers in a given country reach the platform directly and are synchronized in real-time. This means that if a product is sold in an online store, on our marketplace, whether it is Aderlo Marketplace, Wiejski Targ Marketplace, or any other, they will automatically receive this information, and the product will disappear from the warehouse in real-time. Conversely, any sale of a product anywhere will be immediately noted in the system.
Unfortunately, in Magento, synchronization would occur with a significant delay, which raised our concerns about the technical capabilities of the entire platform. In such an extensive system as ours, this option is unacceptable to us.
Decision: We are building our own marketplace engine.
Although Magento is a powerful e-commerce engine, its limitations stem from the use of PHP, which is still widely used in many software.
Therefore, we decided to launch our own engine, the ECAT eCommerce Aderlo Marketplace Engine, based on the latest technologies such as GoLand, to better meet our users’ needs and dynamically develop our platforms. We want to enable us and other companies that join us to use Aderlo Marketplace, Wiejski Targ Marketplace, and other platforms.
Thanks to this own engine, which I mentioned earlier, we will be able to launch additional marketplaces within a few weeks, where operators from the ECAT eCommerce panel will be able to easily list their products.
Manager 3.0 updates to meet user needs
We have inquiries about the technology used to write Manager 3.0?
Our Manager 3.0 is written in the latest, best-optimized technology. The backend was created using GoLand and Java technology, and the frontend using Vue.js technology. Specialists say that this is an excellent combination of technology, meeting the highest standards. In Poland, few companies still work with these technologies.
We are aware that not everything works as we would like, but everything takes time because the number of connections and variables in our ECAT eCommerce ecosystem is very large, especially in the context of cooperation with external sales platforms such as Allegro.
Manager 3.0 is absolutely world-class in terms of functionality, business assumptions, and technology we use. It is known that for complete satisfaction, we lack a perfectly functioning tool that would allow us to scale our business and the sales of many operators connected to the platform and cooperating with us.
Our main assumption is that every operator can easily, with a few clicks, send products to any place where they want to sell, whether it’s Allegro, Erli, Amazon, eBay, eMAG, or many other platforms such as WordPress, PrestaShop, Magento, etc. In addition, we plan to connect not only wholesalers from the country we are entering but also AliExpress as a platform enabling the trade of Asian products.
Product catalog.

We are trying to create all the important elements that will help us operators in our daily work. The new catalog solves many problems. We know that there is a lot to improve, but these improvements are being implemented in many segments of the catalog itself. Do you remember what the product catalog looked like so far? It was cool because everything was visible, but it lacked the contrast we see now.
The solution we provide for your use is really phenomenal. It allows solving many problems that you won’t find on other platforms you had the opportunity to work with. In the last update, we changed a lot. Not everything has been implemented yet, as we wrote in the article New product management catalog.
Currently, the appearance of the product catalog is completely different. What we can do with the products now is send them anywhere, whether on Allegro, any marketplace, or a store on WordPress, possibly Magento. Currently, only Allegro is connected, but the options are already available. We are currently working on a plugin that will allow connecting any store based on WordPress. Finally, you will be able to sell in your own store and carry out marketing activities that will allow operators to achieve even better results. Many things were not available in the previous version of the catalog. Here are some of the changes.
Where does the operator's profit come from?

Many operators asked us questions, which is understandable, about where the operator’s profit comes from and how it can be calculated, where is the rest of the money?
What interests you the most is the operator’s profit. A new price details tab appeared, where you can follow the entire pricing process in detail, including the final operator’s profit after deducting all costs associated with the sale. In this tab, we see the net wholesale price, the net sales price, the gross store price, including tax, and many other important information that may interest you.
Now we see exactly the entire price breakdown based on any product in the ECAT eCommerce offer. There are still situations where we sell products to the Polish market, the Czech market, the Slovak market, and often it turns out that there are variations in transportation costs. We will also work on displaying these transportation costs more clearly or adjusting them to the product’s profits. Here we have full analytics and can make corrections very quickly.
We are unable to monitor each product to determine its profitability at the very beginning, as the current product base is only 750,000 products, but ultimately there will be hundreds of millions of them for each country where we will sell products. Analytics and quick corrections are necessary in such a case.
When it happens that an order is unprofitable, we make a modification or add a certain amount to the product’s cost to increase its profitability. We can also increase the margin to improve profitability. Thanks to this, with subsequent orders of this product, we avoid a situation where the order could result in a loss.
In business, there are always processes that are profitable, less profitable, or even result in losses. The key is for the sum of all business events to allow us to break even. In ECAT eCommerce, after considering all costs, including Allegro commissions, the product’s exchange rate, ECAT eCommerce’s profit, and all operational costs up to the moment of delivering the product to the end customer, the profitability of an online store operator on the ECAT eCommerce platform is between 9% and 12.5%.
This is an excellent result because it means that from every 10 thousand net revenue, a thousand zlotys remain in the operator’s pocket. If the revenue is 100 thousand, the operator, i.e., the owner of the online store, can earn 10 thousand net after deducting costs.
Product details.

In the latest update, which recently took place, a new look for the product card appeared. Products now load quickly. Based on 100 products, they load in an instant, so you can work comfortably even with 1000 products.
Check out the product details prepared. Now you can directly change the title to something customer-friendly and stand out with a unique description and title. There is an option to modify the title and description using AI. It may happen that a photo from the wholesaler does not load, so you can edit the entire product description and change what is needed. This was not possible before, as there was no such possibility.

What has been done.
✅ In the tab – Your stores/Products/All available products – a tile with the option to select an Allegro account for which you can modify product parameters has been created. You can edit the description, product name, and even fill in just one attribute (there is no longer a need to fill in all of them),
✅ We added new values for product condition (e.g., display, refurbished by the manufacturer, etc.),
✅ We implemented a safeguard in case the wholesaler makes disturbing changes to the product data in the XML file. Such products will then be under the special supervision of our mechanisms, allowing us to detect the problem at its initial stage,
✅ We eliminated the error due to which modified/corrected products did not reach Allegro. Currently, most of these products are successfully added to the Allegro assortment.
What we are currently working on.
➡️ In the tab – Your stores/Products/All available products – a tile will be created for each product with the option to send it to Allegro,
➡️ In the same tab (and still in the tab Products added to Marketplace), an option to add photos will appear,
➡️ We will enable changing product attributes globally for all Operators. Thanks to this, work done once will benefit every operator using our Manager,
➡️ Despite this, we will leave you the choice – saving product data will either be done globally for everyone or for a specific store/Allegro account,
➡️ We are developing a solution for the problem of duplicated offers on Allegro.
