In one of the previous articles published on June 19, 2024, we reported that on the night of June 18-19, 2024, the IT team of ECAT eCommerce conducted a system update aimed at improving efficiency and convenience in managing sales on the Allegro platform. However, after the update, it became apparent that something was still amiss, even though the planned improvements were supposed to eliminate the issue of duplicated offers and prevent unforeseen category changes.
Some complications arose that required further intervention by the IT team, as the implemented changes turned out to be insufficient. Proper integration with Allegro is crucial as it accounts for increasing sales through the Allegro platform.

Although initially, it seemed that the update on June 18/19 was a step in the right direction, it turned out that not everything went according to plan. Problems with duplicated products and unforeseen category changes persisted, as reported by operators listing their auctions on Allegro. Instead of full stability, operators had to deal with troublesome errors that complicated offer management.
One of the main complaints was that “auctions reopened when we added another product with the same EAN code.” Although the system was supposed to overwrite information and select the cheapest offer, “duplicated products still appeared,” making product lists unclear. Additionally, the safeguards against unforeseen category changes did not work as they should have. Operators reported that products were still being moved to other categories, affecting the visibility and availability of offers for customers.
Another System Update on July 6, 2024
Facing these issues, the IT team decided to re-examine the problem and prepare another, larger update. On July 4, the Manager was turned off to allow the necessary work to be carried out. Operators in the “Dropshipping Allegro — General on Telegram” group were informed to hold off on actions until the work was completed and we received the green light to proceed.
Joanna Ciupek, head of customer service, decided to personally test the system after the changes and inform us of the situation. At 8 a.m. on July 6, Joanna Ciupek informed us, “Please do not do anything for now. I am waiting for information from IT on whether we should delete everything and restock, or if they will force it on Allegro accounts.”
On the evening of July 6, the head of customer service informed us that “the functionality of the Manager has been restored, the manager started working again,” and gave the green light to list offers on Allegro.
Recommendations and Procedures for Listing Offers after the Update

Joanna Ciupek informed us that “the functionality of the manager has been restored. Before proceeding with stocking, I suggest clearing the Allegro accounts and hiding completed auctions. Then you can start listing. Clear the Allegro account using the ‘clear entire Allegro account’ button – hide the completed auctions from the Allegro level.” She also added, “The speed of adding is very good — in about 30 minutes, I added 12,651 offers — so far no duplicates. I firmly believe that IT has already dealt with this problem.”
Recommendations before Re-listing Offers on Allegro:
- Cleaning Allegro Accounts: Clear Allegro accounts. We clean the Allegro account using the “CLEAR ENTIRE ALLEGRO ACCOUNT” button in the Manager.
- Hide Inactive Auctions: Hide completed auctions from the Allegro level.
- Verification of System Operation: After the update, thoroughly test the system and verify data accuracy between the Manager and Allegro.
Why Follow the Recommendations and Procedures when Re-listing Offers on Allegro?
Many operators complained about having to re-add products, which is understandable and justified, but this is sometimes how it is in a developing business.
Joanna Ciupek clearly communicated: “You can leave the products, but you take responsibility for the availability of the goods. We cannot be sure that what is on Allegro matches the current state in the manager. We can check each already listed offer in the manager to see if the stock levels match between Allegro and the manager. I personally cleared my account and stocked it again. The way it stocks through the manager is fantastic. It doesn’t take long, and they go through very nicely. I already have over 24,000 auctions, and I have been doing it for a while.”
I believe it is easier to start work from scratch because we already have experience and will probably do it more efficiently than the first or even second time. This avoids unnecessary errors.
Before listing offers, it is recommended, even advisable, to delete all offers listed on Allegro, clear the account, and hide inactive offers, then start listing offers again to avoid unnecessary complications if it turns out that after the system update, some offers are not linked to the Allegro account — Manager.
Testing the Update and Initial Findings (July 10, 2024)
After restoring the Manager’s functionality, operators began testing the system. They started mass re-listing offers. Joanna Ciupek informed that “out of 74,433 listed offers, there were no duplicates, and the blocking of prohibited offers worked correctly.”
The listing of new offers began. Joanna Ciupek informed the operators that “you should note that products that went into the queue will be listed, so do not worry about them. Remember also that if you now clear the Allegro account and some offers end, do not hide them, as the system will check them and if everything is okay, it will renew them.”
New Functionality
Please note that there is new functionality. From now on, we do not hide completed auctions; we leave them. The system will check them and if everything is okay, it will relist them. We only end auctions that we do not want to be listed and hide them on Allegro.
What do we plan to achieve by the end of the month?
- Work on duplicates: Is the elimination of duplicates completely achieved? We will find out in a few days or even hours. In any case, IT will continue to work on this issue to improve the process as much as possible to ensure smooth operation for the operators.
- Blocking prohibited offers: The system will more precisely identify and block prohibited offers. This is quite a complex process, as wholesalers include many prohibited items that are not accepted by Allegro, such as barcodes, branded products, software, and many others.
- Ability to change product prices: It is planned to implement the ability to increase prices by percentage and amount, as well as the possibility to reduce the margin within the range of 1 to 50%. (this functionality is already connected but not yet activated).
- Launching the WordPress plugin: Work on the WP plugin to connect stores to the Manager is nearing completion. Its implementation is waiting in line. The current priority is to organize the system’s operation in connection with Allegro to ensure smooth sales, listing offers, and shipping goods.
Completion of Major Work on Allegro (July 18, 2024)
On July 18, 2024, Joanna Ciupek informed us: “At this moment, the work on integrating Allegro with the Manager 3.0 system has been completed. And so, we are far ahead compared to other platforms. It is time to move forward and take the next step.” Does this mean that nothing will be improved with Allegro? Improvements will continue, but the focus is also on making progress and providing other sales operators with tools for their own online stores, for which a plugin connecting the system to any store is needed, as well as other sales platforms, such as Erli, which will be our next integration.
We have achieved quite a lot in terms of integration with Allegro; currently, you can list 150,000 products in 2 hours. One could say that this is probably the best system for selling on Allegro in Poland, if not the world.
Tip from Joanna Ciupek for Operators Listing Offers on Allegro (July 26, 2024)
Question from an operator: When you already have, for example, 120,000 products added, how do you choose which products to add? When I click, hide products, those already on Allegro are hidden. But those I have already sent are not hidden.
- Joanna Ciupek’s answer: Those offers that have any status are hidden, and those that nothing is happening with remain for stocking. I choose the price range, show products with EAN, and hide those added to the marketplace and go with those wholesalers one by one.
Conclusion: It is worth simplifying your work at the beginning and not worrying too much about everything. After the update, it is worth clearing all your Allegro accounts using the “Clear Allegro Account” button (this applies to accounts before the update on July 6, 2024, and even for accounts that are stocked but for some reason, you want to make sure you have done the work correctly), then hide all auctions from the Allegro level and start listing offers again according to Joanna Ciupek’s recommendations, namely:
- Choose a price range: the lowest profitable to list on Allegro, e.g., from 100 PLN, and set the upper price range so that the amount including Allegro commission does not exceed the amount automatically charged for listing high-priced offers.
- Choose products with EAN: Allegro requires each product to have a unique EAN.
- Hide added to the marketplace and list in sequence all products available in the offer.
